Sebastian is most fascinated by the limitations and opportunities provided by geographical factors and their influence on political decision making – with a particular focus on emerging tensions surrounding China – and also by ecology and the balance to be found between human and environmental needs.

August Cortauld

August is interested in geopolitics and researching global relations and levels of dependency that occur as a result of geographical features, especially when covering topics involving influential counties with unique ideologies such as China and their growing significance. He also enjoys researching the developing transition of energy production to renewables along with other issues such as the global food crisis.
