The name ‘Cannon Yarder’ comes from the location of the Geography department at our school: Cannon Yard. The courtyard is named after the Russian cannon which was captured at the Siege of Sevastopol during the Crimean War in 1855.  It now lies in the centre of Cannon Yard.  

The Cannon Yarder is a student-run Geography publication. Our aim is to give those passionate about Geography the opportunity to explore their interest by providing a wide range of articles. We hope you enjoy!
